Park
Funds
Park’s
funds number 64 thousand main and 30 thousand scientific auxiliary
funds of museum objects. Funds collections started to form from the
first days of Park creating in 1967.
Their
arrangement
corresponds
to the type and activity directions of the Park: these are sacral
things, architectural-building
details,
archaeological finds, ethnographic materials. A very interesting and
substantial Chernihiv icon collection is gathered in the Park. An
icon-painting is presented by Ukrainian professional icons of the
XVII-XX centuries, folk icons of the XVII-XX centuries, Russian icons
of the XVIII-XX centuries.
Park
funds
have also a collection of religion objects made of metal, wood,
nacre: crosses, icons, folding
icons
and others. A prominent piece of jeweler’s art - silver Holy gates
from Borys
and Hlib cathedral
attracts
our attention. They
are hetman Ivan Mazepa’s donation to Chernihiv cathedral, made in
Germany by Pylyp Drentvet at the beginning of the XVIII century
according to the project of Chernihiv engraver.
In
the Park there is a small but rich collection of black-letter
books,
which counts 126 books. There is a publication
of
the end of the XVI century among them. The collection is included in
the black-letter
books
catalogue published by V.Tarnovskyi Chernihiv historical museum.
Fund
collection of cult clothes and sewing counts about 500 museum
objects. Nearly 30 thousand fragments of fresco painting of the
XI-XIII centuries with graffiti, plots and painting are collected in
Park.
The
collection of architectural-building
materials
is rather substantial and rich. The collection of Old Russ plinth
with different brands, marks of the XI-XIII centuries and models of
Old Russ stone plastic art (capitals,
slabs of pyrophyllite
shale) is also expressive. There is a collection of tiles, bricks of
the XVII-XVIII centuries, ceramic dalles etc in the Park. The
collection of marked bricks of the XIX century is rather substantial
and interesting. A very considerable and various collection of house
carving from Chernihiv historical housing area of the XIX century
attracts researchers and ethnographers’ attention. Among the
ethnographic materials there is a collection of Ukrainian towels
(rushnyky). The collection
of archeological materials: ceramic tableware of the XI-XVIII
centuries, objects made of metal, bones, glass etc., is also big and
various.
Documentary
and photographic negative funds of architectural graphics contain the
materials of architectural-archeological research of monuments and
park conservation area, restoration of architectural monuments,
drawings, photos of both architectural constructions and monumental
art, sacral art items, construction, ethnography etc. | |
